Bourse postdoctorale 2020-2021 sur l’intégration politique, culturelle et sociale des personnes immigrantes au Québec au Département de science politique de l’Université Concordia
À propos du projet
Le professeur Antoine Bilodeau est à la recherche d’une ou d’un stagiaire postdoctoral.e pour l’année 2020-2021 dans le cadre d’un projet sur l’intégration politique, culturelle et sociale des personnes immigrantes au Québec. La personne retenue sera appelée à analyser une base de données constituée de répondants immigrants et non-immigrants au Québec. 60% du temps de travail (3 jours par semaine) sera dédié à la réalisation d’analyses quantitatives et d’autres tâches connexes, sous la supervision d’Antoine Bilodeau. 40% du temps de travail (2 jours par semaine) sera dédié à la réalisation du programme de recherche de la ou du stagiaire postdoctoral.e.
Le poste commencera entre le 1er juillet et le 1er septembre 2020 pour un contrat de 12 mois. Le salaire annuel est 50,000$.
La personne deviendra chercheur postdoctoral affilié au Centre pour l’étude de la citoyenneté démocratique, regroupement stratégique financé par le FRQSC et sera intégrée à l’équipe de chercheurs et d’étudiants associés au Centre pour l’étude de la politique et de l’immigration de l’Université Concordia.
Compétences recherchées
La personne recherchée doit posséder des compétences avancées en méthodes quantitatives et d’analyse de sondage et posséder un doctorat en science politique ou dans une discipline connexe des sciences sociales. La connaissance du français est un atout important, mais ne constitue pas un prérequis.

2020-2021 Postdoctoral Fellowship on the political, cultural and social integration of immigrants in Quebec at the Department of Political Science at Concordia University
About the Project
Professor Antoine Bilodeau is looking for a postdoctoral fellow for the year 2020-2021 for a project on the political, cultural and social integration of immigrants in Quebec. The successful candidate will be called upon to analyze a database of immigrant and non-immigrant respondents in Quebec. 60% of the work time (3 days per week) will be dedicated to carrying out quantitative analyses and other related tasks, under the supervision of Antoine Bilodeau. 40% of the work time (2 days per week) will be dedicated to carrying out the research program of the postdoctoral fellow.
The position will start between July 1st and September 1, 2020, for a 12-month contract. The annual salary is $50,000.
The individual will become a postdoctoral researcher affiliated with the Centre for the Study of Democratic Citizenship, a strategic cluster funded by the FRQSC, and will be integrated into the team of researchers and students associated with the Centre for the Study of Politics and Immigration at Concordia University.
Skills Sought
The successful candidate must have advanced skills in quantitative methods and survey analysis and have a PhD in political science or a related social science discipline. Knowledge of French is a strong asset but is not a prerequisite.
