2023-2024 Postdoctoral Fellowship on the Political, Cultural and Social Integration of Immigrants in Quebec at Concordia University’s Department of Political Science
About the project
Professors Antoine Bilodeau and Mireille Paquet, and the Immigration Research Initiative, are seeking a postdoctoral fellow for the year 2023-2024 for a project on the political, cultural and social integration of immigrants in Quebec. The successful candidate will be expected to analyze a database of immigrant and non-immigrant respondents in Quebec. 60% of working time (3 days per week) will be dedicated to carrying out quantitative analyses and other related tasks, under the supervision of Antoine Bilodeau. 40% of working time (2 days a week) will be dedicated to the postdoctoral fellow’s research program.
The position must begin no later than February 1, 2024 for a 12-month contract. The annual salary is $70,000. Possibility of renewal.
The person will become a postdoctoral researcher affiliated with the Immigration Research Initiative, with the Centre for the Study of Democratic Citizenship, and with the Équipe de recherche sur l’immigration au Québec et ailleurs.
Skills required
The successful candidate will have advanced skills in quantitative methods and survey analysis, and a PhD in political science or a related social science discipline. Specific experience in structural equation modeling (SEM) is an asset.
Knowledge of French is an important asset, but not a prerequisite.
